CARMEN JULIA AYAPE VASQUEZ: "I have born in Pucallpa one of the most important places in the Amazon jungle. My parents are don Antonio Ayape Ruiz and dona Ana Vaquez Cashu. I have three brothers. My primary studies I did it in a school near my house and when I have finished the high school ready my friend told me about the Usko-Ayar Amazonian School of Painting.
I started drawing for three months about and then I started on painting. I am a teacher of the school and Don Pablo Amaringo teaches many good things that are important in my life and it is very useful for me to teach to the new ones. In my free time I write my diary, I read books and I collected old bills, coins and post cards. I paint with love and respect knowing the plants and about them and the animals and about the riverean peoples' life."
