(Egallery Comment): This large piece is an exceptional and intricately painted early work, dating from the late 1970s/early 1980s, which we acquired from a private collection.
It is a familiar theme - the animals and plants of the the lost (or never again to be found) "paradise" of the supreme creator, but Fernand Pierre in this case refrains from religious symbology, either christian or vodou, and depicts only the innocent beginning. |
